The Audi A8 slowly outgrew and transformed into a very classy, dynamic, high performance and elegant car. At the Geneva Autosalon 2010, Audi presented a sedan, which had grown ten centimeters to a total length of 5.15 meters. With a new distinctive side line the model got a more distinctive face.
Engine Specification
The basic motorization consisted of a 2.8-liter FSI six-cylinder engine with front drive. This was a decisive change because the previous models were all equipped with all-wheel drive, like the predecessor Audi V8. Now the buyers had the choice between all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive at the Audi A8. A Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) with Multitronic brought the power of the engine to the front axle, which was 15 centimeters ahead of the new model. This improved, among other things, the weight distribution. The Audi A8 has always been a preferred business vehicle. In 2008, more than 90 percent of new registrations were commercial.
The third and latest model of Audi A8
In the US state of Florida, Audi presented the third model version of the Audi A8. As of spring 2010, this version was also available in the German market. Because of the aluminum body, the new Audi is also one of the lightest cars in its class compared to its competitors. From the new model, there were two versions: short wheelbase body length 5.14 m and Long version, wheelbase length, body length 5.27 meters.

The FlexRay system
Audi thus offers a network of all electronically controlled systems.The distance control system and the adaptive headlights are able to take into account information from the navigation system and the camera under the rearview mirror. This activates both the motorway light and the curve light at an early stage. In addition, the light automatically adjusts to the specifications of the country in which the Audi A8 is on the road. In countries with left-hand traffic, the corresponding light unit automatically activates even if the navigation is switched off.
